Church Services

Worship Service – Sundays – 10:30 AM

We welcome you to Covenant Presbyterian Church and pray that you will be blessed in our time of worship.

A liturgical service, where we come with reverence and devotion, to glorify our Lord as a congregation. We worship through singing praise, prayer, studying the Word, the sacraments, and our confession of faith and sin.

Communion is the 1st Sunday of the month.              First time visitors

You are invited to stay

Join us for refreshments and fellowship in Esty Hall following each morning worship service. Visitors are encouraged to stay and experience Christ's love through fellowship with other believers.

A potluck luncheon occurs following the 3rd Sunday worship service. Don't worry if you didn't bring anything, as there is always a plentiful amount with food left over - remember the Loaves and Fishes story?

Evening Worship – Sundays – 6:00 PM

This informal service includes singing, a 20-minute message on the Bible, and the sharing of prayer requests.

Just for fun - come for the last-Sunday-of-the-month Hymn Sing-Along for Evening Worship. Our musicians prepare well ahead of time, so there is always a treat in store.

Bible Classes

Adult Bible Class - Sundays - 9 AMSproul 2

Reverend John Kelley is currently leading a 12-week series, What is Reformed Theology? Understanding the Basics, by R. C. Sproul.

There is a breakfast, sponsored by the men, for any who wish to come for food and fellowship before the class, from 7:30 to 8:30 AM.

Bible Study and Prayer - Wednesdays - 6:00 PM

Because the Word of God is our very life (Deuteronomy 32:47), we gather frequently to study the Bible and apply it in our lives. Join us on Wednesday nights for a mid-week time teaching and fellowship.

We also have a men's and women's Bible study on Tuesdays (see the Men's and Women's activities below for details).

Men’s Bible Study – Tuesdays – 10:00 AM

The men's Bible study is in the book of Deuteronomy, led by Rev. Ernie Williams. When translated from the Greek Septuagint, the word “Deuteronomy” means “second law,” as in Moses' retelling of God's laws. It also is a set of sermons, preached by Moses to all of Israel shortly before his death.

Women's Call to Prayer – Tuesdays – 9:15 AM (Fall through Spring)

We meet in Esty Hall for a time to pray for our church, our country and individual requests. All women are welcome; prayer is what we offer to God, to help shape the world around us. If you want to know more, talk to June Ruyle.

Women’s Bible Study – Tuesdays – 10:00 AM

The women are currently studying The Promised One: Seeing Jesus in Genesis by Nancy Guthrie. This is the first volume in the Seeing Jesus in the Old Testament Bible study.

Women’s Brown Bag Lunch – Every 2nd Wednesday – 12:00 PM

This is an informal time when you can bring your own bite to eat, wander in and sit down and get to know someone. Don't worry if you're running late - come anyway!

WIC Brunches & Luncheons – sign up for email notices

The women of the church, and their WIC officers, get together periodically for a lovely brunch or luncheon. It is a wonderful time to discuss events and ministries and to have fellowship. All women are invited to come and be encouraged in their faith and love for one another. Watch for announcements for the meeting times in your bulletin, and check our Church Calendar to stay on top of all our women's events and gatherings. Contact June Ruyle for more information, or Jan English in the church office to be added to emails.

WIC Singles and Widows - Every 1st Tuesday - 6 PM at Nora Lou's

This gathering of women meets every 1st Wednesday for enjoyable friendship and group sharing around a book they are reading. The group also plans other excursions and events during the month and relishes their time together. Talk to Sandy Hart or Jan English for more details.
